Have you wondered about the security that is in place to protect transaction’s that takes place over the world wide web? You might wonder what is the security that is in force behind a secure network for payments made over the world wide web?
Be rest assured that all transactions that take place over the world wide web and through eGHL Payment Gateway Solutions are secured, safe and compliant with PCI DSS, a standard which is formulated by the PCI Security Standard Council which was formed by the five major card companies MasterCard, American Express, VISA, JCB and Discover. This set of requirements serves as a guideline to ensure the protection and security of their cardholder information.
To be compliant with PCI DSS, we will need to meet certain requirement set by PCI Security Standard Council, one of the requirement is to enable Transport Layer Security (TLS), it is a cryptographic protocol used to establish a secure communications channel between two systems.
eGHL is committed to protect the confidentiality and integrity of information that passes between systems which is why we have upgraded TLS to the latest version which is TLS 1.2, to meet the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We will no longer support TLS 1.0 & 1.1 by 20th June 2018 due to security vulnerabilities.
We remain committed to ensure that security is constantly updated to meet the requirements of PCI to ensure the safeguarding of payments data that takes place through eGHL Payment Gateway.
